Item Description

You are bidding on two bottles of 750 ml bottles of wine. One bottle is 2010 Francis Coppola Black Label Claret (1910 type) Cabernet Sauvignon and the other is 2011 Cline Cellars Big Break Zinfandel Contra Costa County.

About Francis Coppola Diamond Collection 2010 Black Label Claret (1910 type) Cabernet Sauvignon:

Gold Medal - 2012 Critics Challenge International Wine Competition

Gold Medal - 2012 San Francisco International Wine Competition

Tasting Notes - Our signature red wine, layered with flavors of blackberry, cassis and roasted espresso.

Winemakers Notes - Our prize offering, this ultra premium 2010* Claret, sports a label that honors the first Cabernet blended in a Bordeaux style by Gustave Niebaum in 1910. Claret is a term originally coined by the British to describe Cabernet-based wines. We use all five Bordeaux varietals in our blend—Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot—and harvest grapes from our own estate as well as other Napa, Sonoma, and El Dorado vineyards. This combination of climates results in great complexity and exquisite balance.

About Cline Cellars Big Break Zinfandel:

cline 2011 big break zinfandel

87 ptsWine Spectator, 6/30/13
“Jammy and supple, with ripe flavors of raspberry, caramel and spice."

Eucalyptus mint, firm structure and exotic spice are key elements in our 2011 Big Break Zinfandel. Always a robust wine, the 2011 shows crisp black cherries, exotic spice, as well as, a toasted oak characteristic. It holds a distinct dusty berry characteristic (reminiscent of picking wild black berries in the hot summer sun), what we affectionately describe as our “Oakley terroir”. Big Break Zinfandel can be enjoyed young but it should also benefit from 5 to 7 years of cellaring.
