CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner Michael Tow is President and Founder of New Boston Financial. He has an extensive background in personal finance. For almost 20 years, he has been managing investments and personal finances for individuals, small businesses, and organizations.

Prior to New Boston Financial, Mr. Tow was an account vice president at UBS and managed a brokerage branch of H&R Block Financial Advisors. He holds or has completed the following: General Securities Registered Representative (Series 7), General Securities Sales Supervisor (Series 8), Uniform Securities Agent State Law (Series 63), Life and Health Insurance license, Boston University's Financial Planning program and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner.

Mr. Tow serves on the Board of Directors for the Health Care Security Trust board, which handles the investments of the State Retiree Benefits Trust Fund for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He also currently serves on the Boards of the Asian Community Development Corporation, Asian Taskforce Against Domestic Violence and Company One Theatre.

In 2010 he was selected as a "40 Under 40" honoree by the Boston Business Journal which recognizes the top 40 emerging business leaders in greater Boston. 

Mr Tow is a past president of The Friends of the Needham Elderly and sat on the Massachusetts Workforce Investment Board, a board that advises the Governor of Massachusetts on Workforce Development issues. He was also a member of Dougie's Marathon Team, marathon runners supporting the Doug Flutie Foundation for Autism.

Mr. Tow has given talks focusing on financial literacy to many groups including The Commonwealth of Massachusetts' - The Money Conference. He recently appeared on Channel 5's City Line as well as on Channel 7's Asian Focus and Urban Update. His commentary can be found in Money Magazine, The Boston Globe and many others. He is a financial columnist for a Boston newspaper and is the Personal Financial Blogger for the Needham Times. 

Mr. Tow lives in Needham with his wife, Nancy, and their three daughters.
