Dr. Melissa Connell and her dental team at Children’s Dentistry of Bucktown & Wicker Park provide exceptional preventive and restorative dental treatment to children from birth through the college years, including patients with special needs.
Dr. Connell has been practicing dentistry since 1997. She has a strong clinical foundation in both private and public health care sectors. A mother herself, Dr. Connell is able to see her patients and meet their needs through the eyes of a parent.
At Children’s Dentistry of Bucktown & Wicker Park, Dr. Connell recommends that children are seen for a dental checkup about 6 months after their first tooth erupts, or around their first birthday.
Early preventive care with Dr. Connell and her team is a great way to start healthy oral habits and create a strong foundation for a lifetime of oral health. The first visit to our office is one of the most important. At Children’s Dentistry of Bucktown & Wicker Park, our staff will provide your child with caring, compassionate, and loving care that also teaches you and your children techniques to promote healthy oral hygiene for years to come. We use easy to understand, child friendly language to teach concepts like good nutrition, proper brushing and flossing.
