Boston area and west.
Bonnie MacLeod is a highly versatile and accomplished pianist, singer and composer. She combines a fascinating and eclectic array artistic influences in her performances. Her gifts have brought her around the world including Europe, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and North Africa. Having lived in New York for 17 years, she appeared at such venues as the Rainbow Room, the Waldorf Astoria and Windows on the World. She also appeared in several off Broadway productions including Noel Coward's "Waiting in the Wings".
Her original compositions for piano are beautiful, delightful and diverse. Her influences include classical, jazz and impressionist techniques. Robert Sherman of WQXR FM Radio in New York City calls them ".... delightful and sensitive piano miniatures". Her compositions are regularly played on the internet station Women's Radio.
Bonnie has performed at Boston's Club Cafe in the South End. She also performed in her own one woman cabaret show entitled "Nice Girl Plays Mean Piano" running both in Boston and New York. Featured were her humorous patter and saucy selections like "Peel Me a Grape", "Mambo Italiano", "Ten Cents a Dance" and a selection of classical and jazz piano favorites. Last year, she was part of BACA's Spring Cabaret Fest at the beautiful Springstep Arts Center in Medford, MA. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of The Boston Association of Cabaret Artists (BACA) and performs regularly at the Amazing Things Art Center's Open Mike evenings in Framingham, as well in Millis. Her music continues to delight her audiences, and to bring artistry and excellence to her craft.
