Item Description
Sharon Stepman was born in New York City and lives and works both in New York and Italy. She attended the Art Students League as a student of George Grosz, and the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, with Primo Conti. She continued her studies at NYU taking advantage of the master program at ICP where she discovered the art form of photography, giving a different direction to her work. Using subjects from daily life she challenges reality, where foreground and background become flat space. Her images are in many private collections in Europe, Israel and the U.S. as well as the MiMa, Boboli Gardens, Palazzo Pitti.
