Item Description
1930's Old Cottage Chintz pattern Royal Wilton salt and pepper shakers on a tray. These exquisitely delicate pieces are in perfect condition with new corks. The tray measures 6 inches across and is divided to let the shakers nestle. The shakers themselves are 2 1/2 inches high.
Item Special Note
Gold-rimmed, delicately patterned and highly collectible antique from the 1930's. This is a great example of the popular Chintz pattern with tiny blossoms of pink, yellow, blue and green against a miniature grey and white mosaic background. (The word 'chintz' derives from the Sanskrit and means many-colored. 3 centuries after calico chintz was imported to England from India, the Royal Wilton Company popularized the design in dinnerware!)
