Bid on this unique opportunity to have a skilled photographer come to your child's sporting event and capture images of your superstar and his/her team in action! John Ciovacco, husband of Brown School's beloved art teacher, Mrs. West, offers this amazing oppportunity:

I admit, I use my iPhone camera a lot and for all sorts of things, with surprisingly good results. But when your son/daughter is 200 feet away charging for the goal, the iPhone is not the right accessory to capture the moment. If you wish one of the parents on your child's team would take up sports photography before the season ends, this might be for you.

Armed with my wife, Kathryn's (Mrs. West's) underutilized Canon SLR camera and the really big expensive lens I got for shooting ice hockey, I'll come out to shoot a full game/event producing maybe 1,000 to 2,000 photographs. Lots of your kid (of course) and some featuring each team member. I toss out the clearly bad ones, crop many of them to highlight the action, do a little adjusting (e.g., light, contrast) as needed, post the surviving 500ish photos on Google+ with a link, and give you a flash drive with the original jpgs.

Bid high and have the other parents chip in! Tell them it would be a shame if you had to restrict access to the priceless photos of their rising superstar!

Winner must pick a date in the next 12 months for their child's sporting event somewhere in the Capital District. Can be indoor or out though we may need some flexibility depending on weather.
