Item Description

Co-edited by Dr. Eric Chivian and Aaron Bernstein.  Dr. Chivian was the keynote speaker at NRWA's 2013 Annual Meeting.  He is the founder of the Center for Health and the Global Environment at Harvard Medical School, and co-founder of the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, recipient of the 1985 Nobel Peace Prize.  The book was co-sponsored by the United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations Environment Programme, the U.N.'s Convention on Biological Diversity, and the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
