Item Description
CALLING ALL SUSHI LOVERS! Chef’s “Omakase" Tasting For Two at Oga’s Japanese Cuisine
Oga’s Japanese Cuisine is arguably one of the best sushi restaurants you will find in or out of the city (Zagat food rating 26/30) and it is located right here in Natick! Come sit down at the sushi bar and let Executive Chef and Owner Toru Oga create and serve you dish after dish of his famous traditional and not so traditional Japanese fair. This type of dining experience is called “omakase”, a Japanese word meaning 'leave it up to us'. It is commonly used in Japanese restaurants for a meal where the chef uses their experience and knowledge to select and prepare the meal using only general guidance from the customer. You will be in great hands with Chef Oga. He brings to the New England area over 35 years of experience in the Japanese culinary art, Kaiseki cuisine. Referenced by the Boston Globe as the “master of the sushi art”, Chef Oga began his career by training in the historic Kyoto region of Japan under the guidance of traditional master sushi chefs. He worked in several high end sushi restaurants for years before coming to the United States. Now you get to taste all of those years of experience in a single evening! Chef Oga has also been known to pair his omakase dinners with sake if he feels it would compliment the dish properly. A bonus to your dining experience! Don’t worry about not getting enough food. Chef Oga will keep going until you are full!
Reservations must be made at least 1 week in advance. No Sundays. Please make your reservation for two through Oga's Japanese Cuisine manager, Masa Sugawara. When you call to make your reservation, you will be asked about your dining preferences to ensure a delightful experience.
