Item Description
Reminiscent of the French or Italian countryside, this oil painting evokes all the colors of a lush summer landscape. Mark Patnode received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Purchase College and is a Fellow of the Urban Artists Initiative Hartford, CT, funded by the National Endowment for the Arts. Mark is a member of the Sate of Connecticut Arts Council. His work has been featured in numerous museums and galleries and is part of the permanent collection in the Smithsonian Institution. Mark was selected by Senator Joseph Lieberman as Connecticut's Designated Artist for the 2008 White House Christmas Tree. In 2010, Mark was chosen by Governor Jodi Rell to create a painting of the Charter Oak for Connecticut's 375th Anniversary. The painting resides in the Governor's Residence Conservancy.
