Item Description
This wonderful map is a 20” x 24” reproduction of the original lithograph by George E. Norris (1855-1926) that is on exhibit at the Lisbon Historic Railroad Station and Museum. It is ready to frame or mount for display on a wall of your home or office or to be kept handy to study up-close the details of the village of Lisbon at a different time. It comes in a mailing/storage tube along with a four-page history detailing most principal structures shown. So-called birds-eye drawings of American communities were very popular in the latter part of the 19th Century and have been a valuable resource for historians. The artist George Norris produced such drawings of several communities in Northern New England. This map would make a wonderful gift for family and friends.
