This small city is synonymous with the arts, culture, and an ideal location that charms its way into creating the perfect mix for an overnight visit or extended vacation.  Stay in historic downtown Saratoga Springs, just walking distance to the amazing, eclectic dining choices, shopping, and after-hours relaxation.  Saratoga Springs is known for, among other things, its performance art, world-class racetrack, healing mineral springs and health spas, charming walkable downtown, golf, and Skidmore College.

In preparation for your getaway, you will receive a basket from the Saratoga Olive Oil Company containing a selection of items including samples of their delicious oils, vinegars, flavored salts, and gourmet items.  You can taste their vinegars and oils (one of my favorites is the roasted sesame oil) to your heart's content and purchase great products for yourself and friends.  Named one of the of five stores in the world for olive oil selection - this store is more than just a great place to get olive oils - it is a must visit when in Saratoga Springs for all types of gourmet items (and they do mail order too).

When you arrive in Saratoga Springs, take a leisurely stroll through the town or spend some time relaxing at one of the mineral spas in town.  

Check in at the five star rated Hampton Inn and Suites, which is conveniently located in dowtown Saratoga Springs.  Your package includes one night accommodations with breakfast in the morning.   Around 5:00 they have fresh made cookies out for a snack and throughout the day/evening there are beverages and fresh fruit available in the sitting area.  Take advantage during your stay of the fitness center, swimming pool, and jaccuzzi.

Take a short stroll for dinner down the street to Mouzon House with your gift certificate.  Located in a remodeled Victorian home on the edge of High Rock Park, The Mouzon House is a farm-to-table restaurant that is committed to providing exceptional food and service, in a uniquely beautiful atmosphere while supporting local farms and vendors and providing customers with the highest quality and sustainable meats, seafood, and produce.  (From a really "foodie" - "The oyster pan roast is to die for!")  The décor is filled with paintings done by the family members – all with interesting stories.  Mouzon House offers a full bar specializing in hand-crafted vintage cocktails and an excellent wine list.  In the warm months, there is plentiful outdoor seating amid the gardens. 

After dinner take in some of the night life or just settle in your comfortable hotel room.  Maybe after you get to your room (if you are not too full), you can enjoy some of the goodies in the basket from Kilwins Chocolate Kitchen.  Since 1947 Kilwins has been a celebrated part of Americana having earned a reputation for providing high quality products and excellent service.  They offer the finest quality, traditional down-home confections and ice cream that are kitchen-made fresh from premium ingredients and original recipes.  It is definitely worth a stop in their store to taste and purchase their delicious fudges and ice cream, as well as the chocolates, caramel apples, corns, and brittles they have to offer (and they also do mail order).  

The following day, take a stroll through downtown (don't forget to stop in the Saratoga Olive Oil Company and Kilwins to stock up before leaving town) or take a drive to Lake George about 30 minutes away before heading home from your getaway.

HOTEL:

• Hotel gift certificate is good for one night with breakfast, all taxes and fees included.
• Hampton Inn & Suites is located at 25 Lake Avenue, Saratoga Springs, which is two blocks off Broadway (the main street through downtown).
• Winner must call the hotel directly and make reservations in advance with a manager.  A valid credit card will be used as guarantee; your gift certificate is good for one night accommodations and breakfast. 
• Reservations are based upon availability and not valid during the Saratoga Racing Season or during Special Event Weekends in Saratoga.  The concert tickets are NOT during race week.  Make reservations as soon as possible for the date of the concert.
• Certificate is to be presented to the Front Desk Associate at the time of check in.
• Hotel gift certificate expires May 4, 2015.
• None of these items can be resold.
