Item Description
A getaway for four on July 29, 2014 to the beautiful and vibrant year-round resort town - Saratoga Springs, NY. This small city is synonymous with the arts, culture, and an ideal location that charms its way into creating the perfect mix for an overnight visit or extended vacation. Stay in historic downtown Saratoga Springs, just walking distance to the amazing, eclectic dining choices, shopping, and after-hours relaxation. Saratoga Springs is known for, among other things, its performance art, world-class racetrack, healing mineral springs and health spas, charming walkable downtown, golf, and Skidmore College.
Start the day by going to the National Museum of Dance & Hall of Fame with tickets, which is the only museum in the nation dedicated entirely to dance.
Enjoy lunch, dinner, or drinks at Maestro’s at the Van Dam – an American bistro - a gathering place for exceptional food and drink located in the historic former Rip Van Dam Hotel, the largest surviving hotel from before the civil war in Saratoga Springs, New York. Chef John LaPosta is a maestro when it comes to food preparation. You cannot go wrong selecting anything from the menu. The food from beginning to end is always a tremendous symphony for the palate.
Then head off to an event that is rare in the United States ...
The Bolshoi Ballet will be dancing "Don Quixote" in the United States and you will have tickets to the special opening night performance at the beautiful Saratoga Performing Arts Center. This includes an audience sparkling reception, fireworks, and more.
The following day, take a stroll through downtown and check out the shops and restaurants ... or go to one of the many spas in town ... or take a drive to Lake George about 30 minutes away.
Don't miss out of this great vacation!
