Item Description
At the Aquila Morong Studio in the heart of Hollywood, serious professional actors hone their craft for film and TV . This intimate studio is founded by 2 highly respected Casting Director/Acting Teachers with years of experience as working professionals. As casting directors and teachers, Deborah Aquila and Donna Morong have literally seen thousands of actors' work over their three decades-long careers. Previous to their casting experience they trained with legendary teachers Stella Adler and William Esper. They use their years of experience in both arenas to train actors to work in a way that is emotionally truthful and honors the text. They understand the rigorous training that goes into making a successful actor.
This class will provide a foundation for scene work through the use of Meisner exercises, belief building, and script analysis as it is practically applied in scenes from film and theater. Students with background in Meisner and Adler are welcome, as well as actors new to the training. Students will have the opportunity to fully explore the process of interpreting a scene from early stages to performance.
The winner of this 6 week course will not need to audition and will be automatically enrolled. Classes are held Tuesdays from 12noon - 3pm and will be offered throughout the year. Winner will be provided a contact to receive the most up-to-date class information.
