Item Description
Oscar Cisneros is a self-proclaimed, self-taught artist who was born and raised in Oakland. In 2007, he opend Tu Tienda Azteca, a Mexican Folk Art store, in collaboration with his mother, Rosario Cisneros. In 2013, the shop relocated to 3104 Fruitvale Avenue in Oakland and, along with art, brought a desire to work together with the community. The Cisneros family bring traditional Mexican artwork to the communities and share their knowledge with them, participating in the Unity Council's yearly Dia de los Muertos Festival in Oakland and hosting live demonstrations and workshops open to the community.
Item Special Note
All violins, even those purchased with the Buy Now function, will be on display during the live event Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18 from 12 PM to 5PM. There will be a reception starting at 3:30 PM on Sunday before the silent auction closes at 4:30 PM.
