Item Description
Thomas Cory grew up in a family where everyone played an instrument, sang, and went to concerts and museums. Elementary school included lessons in drawing, painting and art history. He began studying architectural design in high school but in his third year of college switched his major to Art. He continued graduate studies at UCLA under the influence of Richard Diebenkorn. Eventually obtaining a Masters of Fine Arts degree as well as a Masters and Doctorate in Theological Education, Mr. Cory has taught art at UCLA, Methodist College, Richmond Art Center, San Francisco Art Institute, Chabot College and Fremont high schools. He has exhibited in galleries in Carmel, San Francisco, Pleasanton, Fremont and North Carolina and his paintings, mostly in acrylics, have won numerous awards. His current work can be seen on his website www.thomascory.com, or at Studio 7 in Pleasanton.
Item Special Note
All violins, even those purchased with the Buy Now function, will be on display during the live event Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18 from 12 PM to 5PM. There will be a reception starting at 3:30 PM on Sunday before the silent auction closes at 4:30 PM.
