Item Description
Maureen Langenbach is a fan of watercolor paintings and her celebrated works serve as both a counterpoint and compliment to the artwork of her husband, Peter Langenbach. The couple has been together since their high school days in Napa. She was first introduced to the watercolor medium at Napa Junior College and has painted with watercolor exclusively ever since.
Her paintings have been exhibited at Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara, Olive Hyde Art Gallery, The Gallery in Folsom, Oakland Museum, Meeks Mansion, and Sun Gallery in Hayward, among others. She says of her painting, "The main focus...is the depiction of ordinary objects arranged in a visually stimulating or challenging way. Each painting becomes a problem to solve, concentrating on the interplay of such elements as texture, color, light (reflections) and form."
