Item Description
Ayesha Samdani was born and grew up in Pakistan. She has an MA degree in Fine Arts from Pakistan. She moved to the U.S.A. 13 years ago and recently received an MFA in abstract painting from Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Through fine arts she has learned a way to express the feelings and emotions of her heart. Painting is her passion and she has been painting and drawing for the last 16 years.
Samdani creates abstract paintings inspired by organic shapes found in nature. The limited color palettes and translucent layers in her paintings convey different moods of seasons. She uses oil paints to express her emotions. Her motivation is to create abstract paintings which convey vivid, soft and dynamic sensations.
Currently living in Fremont and painting as a full time artist, Samdani has made her mark in the California art scene, being represented by City Art Gallery in San Francisco and participating in numerous exhibitions, including the Islamic Art Exhibit at the Sun Gallery in Hayward and Triton Museum in San Jose. She is also a board member of the nonprofit organization Islamic Art Exhibit.
