Beautifully framed and in very good condition: 25” wide x 33 ½ “high: Original HARPER’S WEEKELY Article (New York) dated Jan. 23, 1892 DOUBLE PAGE “BATTLEDOOR AND SHUTTLECOCK AT TUXEDO” Illustrated by C.S. Reinhart.
The accompanying article notes in the second paragraph, “It should not for a moment fancied that sporting at the Tuxedo Club is confined to the excitement of tea drinking and battle-door and shuttlecock. Quite the contrary: the Kickerbockered and Tam-o-Shantered young men and women are favored beyond the members of any other club in this country.”
