Item Description

A one hour concert in your home featuring NJSO Principal Flute Bart Feller, Principal Oboe Bob Ingliss and Cellist Fran Rowell. 

Selections would include works by Bach, Quantz, Pergolesi and others.

The musicians will be happy to introduce the selections, as well as talk about their experiences playing in the NJSO as longtime colleagues. 

BART FELLER, NJSO’s Principal Flute, joined the Orchestra in 1989. He attended the Curtis Institute of Music. He has appeared as soloist with the NJSO on numerous occasions, including performances of the Mozart Flute and Harp Concerto and the Bach Brandenburg Concertos. He has appeared with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and New York Philharmonic, among others. He is on the faculty of Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts and performs regularly with the American Wind Quintet. 

ROBERT INGLISS, NJSO’s  Principal Oboe, is also principal oboe of the Santa Fe Opera and oboe soloist with the Orquesta de Cámara de Valdivia of the Universidad Austral de Chile. He has toured worldwide with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, with whom he also has appeared as soloist, and has performed with An die Musik, the Cygnus Ensemble and the Manhattan Sinfonietta. He has taught at Brooklyn College Conservatory, Columbia University, Sarah Lawrence College and SUNY/Purchase.

FRANCES ROWELL, a member of the NJSO cello section, received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The Juilliard School. She taught cello at Muhlenberg College for 12 years and is currently on the adjunct faculty of New Jersey City University and Montclair State University. An inventor as well as a cellist, she received a United States Patent for a portable endpin resonating platform for the cello. In 1992, the city of Allentown, PA, bestowed on Rowell its Arts Ovation Award for outstanding achievement in the performing arts. Rowell has been a member of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra since 1995. As a member of the Craftsbury Chamber Players, she performs chamber music each summer in her home state of Vermont.

Item Special Note

Please note: Performance must take place by April 26, 2015. Date to be mutually agreed upon. Must be within a one-hour drive of Newark, NJ. Please be sure to provide an armless, hardback chair for each of the performers as well as adequate lighting.
