Item Description
If you have been following the work of Adrienne Outlaw (is that a great name or what?) you know that she is a socially-conscious artist. Often her works are comments on the larger issues that invade our daily life, perhaps without our even being aware. This Egg-Art is no exception. Coated in sugar, this Egg-Art is reminiscent of her recent work which features moulded sugar skulls.
She says on her website:
Meant to commemorate those who’ve died from obesity related complications and encourage action to prevent such death, Too Much is a public component of the Sweet Demise work. For the Too Much project, I place sugar skulls throughout the United States for passersby to take. On the back and bottom of each skull, I stamped the words Too Much and a blog address. The montage and videos show the project in Los Angeles.
