Item Description

The collaboration dancers and musicians lies at the heart of Chamber Dance Project’s mission, and each are equal creative partners in the rehearsal room and on stage performance. Live music—often including original commissioned scores—are a hallmark of all of the company’s performances.

In our new home of Washington, D.C., we have assembled a quartet of outstanding string musicians, professionals who bring a wealth of talent, experience, and energy to Chamber Dance Project. Season sponsorship helps underwrite their work with us, and we offer opportunities for supporters to become involved in our Music Fund in a very personal way. A donation at the $2,000 level will provide season sponsorship for violinist Claudia Chudacoff.

Chudacoff is the concertmaster of the U.S. Marine Band’s White House Chamber Orchestra, the National Gallery Orchestra, and the Alexandria Symphony.  She was the assistant concertmaster of the Louisville Orchestra and has appeared as soloist with the Concert Artists of Baltimore, Toledo Symphony, Louisville Ballet, Londontowne Symphony, and the Ann Arbor Symphony. She is a member of both the Sunrise Quartet and the National Gallery Quartet, and has performed in the Embassy Series, at the Holocaust Memorial Museum, National Musical Arts, the Contemporary Music Forum, and with the Fessenden Ensemble.  She can be heard on many recordings and radio broadcasts, including several on NPR’s Performance Today program.

Chamber Dance Project is honored to have Claudia Chudacoff among our ensemble. Your support of her through our Music Fund will designate you as an artist’s sponsor throughout our season.
