Item Description

This package features art and wine. First for the art: an encaustic piece that artist Ellie Bouchard created from a photograph that she took of the fabulous bookstore located in the Galerie Vivienne (a 19th-century arcade) while traveling in Paris, France. Her art reflects a love of café culture, traveling, and a whimsical outlook on life. This piece was created using natural, unbleached beeswax and resin on a thick, salvaged pine board. This archival art is made completely by hand and is one-of-a-kind. Measures approximately 7 1/2" tall, 6" wide, and 3/4" deep.

The art is paired with two bottles of wine from Burnt Bridge Cellars, a 2012 Semillon and a 2011 Pont Brûlé. Burnt Bridge is a small artisan winery located in downtown Vancouver. Owners David Smith and Mark Mahan purchase grapes from the best vineyards in eastern Washington and make award-winning, world-class wines. Their 2010-2012 vintages have won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals from the San Francisco International Wine Competition and the Seattle Wine Awards. Finally, the package also includes a wine flight for two at Vie de Bohème on Distillery Row (7th Avenue) in the hip Southeast Portland warehouse district. Sample five pours from all corners of the world; valid for two persons at this popular eastside venue, the location of an Alliance conversation group; use by April 1, 2015.
