Davina's Bio:
Staring at an old picture can keep me occupied for a long time, as I’m trying to visualize/imagine the details and happenings before and after the click. My sister and I used to browse through our childhood pictures almost every week, sometimes exchanging thoughts and sometimes just looking. That may have been when I started to develop the love for family photography.
I have been photographing for 20 years and my work has always been focused on portraiture. After creating the series "The land of lost toys" (2003 - 2005) I started focusing my work on childhood and family. I studied and obtained my Diploma in photography at "Camera Obscura", School of art (Tel Aviv, Israel) and while doing my internship with a leader and pioneer photographer, I studied "art and education" with the "Leeds University" in Israel.
I was born In Thailand, grew up in Israel and moved to NY in 2003. both my parents come from the arts fields so I was always surrounded with art and creativity. Currently I work and live in Brooklyn, NY with my husband and my two beautiful children.
