Take your time enjoying this stellar constellation of five “sipping” beers (8.5 to 13.2% alc by vol).

Brooklyn Brewery:  New York Limited (750 ml)  A unique collaboration by the Saranac, Ommegang, and Brooklyn Breweries! This special release is a strong white lager/wheat beer which includes honey, spices, lemon verbena, and New York state hops. Floral, honey and lemon grass scents yield to gentle flavors of malt, apple and pear, followed by black pepper, spice and a touch of yeast. Medium-bodied and clean on the palate with moderate carbonation.

Southern Tier:  Choklat (22 oz) 95/100 score in Beer Advocate ratings!  A few reviews’ accolades:

Uinta Brewing:  Tilted Smile Imperial Pilsner (750 ml)   “Imperials” are higher in alcohol with more hops and malts than standard brews, i.e., “bigger”.  And this is one big pilsner!  Tilted Smile pours an opaque orange color, with scents of hops, grass, sweet malts and citrus, all of which come through in the taste. Not too hoppy, so no bitter edge.  This somewhat sweet, lightly carbonated imperial will make you feel like royalty!

Uinta Brewing:  Labyrinth Black Ale (750 ml) Earned a gold medal in the Imperial Stout category at the 2010 North American Brewers Association Awards.  Beer Advocate rating 94/100!  A very big ale (13.2% alc) that reviewers lauded for incredible smoothness and balance. Tastes of dark chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, licorice, molasses, oak, and vanilla.  “All around great complexity, robustness…. a really excellent imperial stout.”

Uinta Brewing:  Detour Double India Pale Ale (750 ml)  Four varieties of hops combine to step up the flavor profile of this double IPA.  Big in alcohol and character!  Pours a clear copper color.  Aroma of sweet and bitter grapefruits, caramel malts and grassy hops. Flavor is a medium bitter you expect in an IPA with grapefruit, pine, and caramel notes.  Finishes clean and slightly dry.
