About the Artist
Alexander & Wissotsky's still life paintings incorporate references to the calligraphy of old English flower painting manuals, and Splendid collage details inspired Paris in the Twenties. Their art is drenched with nostalgia, romanticism, and a love of life.
Tanya Wissotsky and Alexander Galtchansky were born in the same year, 1959, in Crimea (U.S.S.R.). Their careers began in art school. Alexander studied in Dnepropetrovsk and Wissotzkyin Simferopol.
