About the Artist:
My travels take me to many cities and towns, where I love spending time in art galleries and museums.  The Abstract Expressionists, such as Hans Hofmann, Sam Francis, Franz Kline, Jackson Pollock and Mark Rothko are some of my favorite artists.

Alone time in my studio affords me the opportunity to learn how I can, in my work, be most expressive.   Communicating my experiences through paint on canvas can either be frustratingly slow or exhilaratingly quick.

Being with other artists is always fun for me.  There seems to be an unspoken bond that connects and supports us.  I could not live in a world without artists.

At the age of fifty, I began to play around with acrylic paints to see if an artist was inside of me.   Nature and the vastness of the rugged landscape of the American Southwest was my first inspiration.   Its expansiveness fueled my creativity, which I learned is a natural resource but not always easily accessible.  Sometimes a brisk walk, yoga, or a good book helps get the artistic juices flowing.

Another great source of inspiration for me is my seventeen-year old daughter, whom I met in China when she was just nine months of age.   From her I learned the importance of focus, commitment and dedication to that which we are passionate.  And, I am passionate about the Arts.

Through painting I try to communicate what my words cannot say.

Absentee bidding turned ON for this auction item!!  This is good news for you!!

Absentee bidding may be used by organizations that run online auctions in combination with live events. It enables bidding to continue at the live event after the item's online close date. Online bidders may place "virtual, maximum bids" on these items. The absentee bidder may or may not be present at the live event. At the live auction, a "proxy" stand-in is designated to bid up to - but not exceed - the absentee bidder's maximum online bid. Absentee bidding allows online bidders the opportunity to bid on items and support great causes, even if they cannot attend the live fundraising auction.
