I’m a Dallas photographer, a native of DFW. I’ve lived all over the country in my something-and-something years on this planet, but I’ve recently returned home permanently, and I’m thrilled to be back with my fellow Texans.

I’m also a father of two adorable little boys. Becoming a father after a long time as a photographer and seeing what other photographers have done with other people’s children have influenced me greatly.

I take every photo with the same care and standard of excellence I put into photos of my own child. And that’s a very high standard. I let my photos speak for themselves, with their vibrant natural colors and laid-back, confident styling.

I’ve also developed a pretty good personal style over the years. Please allow me to have the opportunity to share that with you and your family if you’re looking for a Dallas photographer. You won’t be disappointed. I promise.

A Dallas Photographer: About My Sessions

I specialize in available light photography, providing my clients with the clearest, crispest images possible. I’m a very versatile Dallas photographer, as I’m available for all sorts of photography: child and family photos; bridal portraits; event photography; headshots and individual portraits; and so on. If in doubt, ask me: I probably do it!

I hold most of my sessions outside, though I can certainly conduct sessions inside if necessary (particularly in the case of newborns). I come to the location of your choice, whether that location be a park, lake or even your own backyard. I can certainly recommend a scenic location or two convenient to you out of the many places throughout DFW at which I’ve hosted sessions on multiple occasions. I travel to most locations within the DFW Metroplex (Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, Denton & Rockwall Counties).

A few days before our session, I’ll be in contact to walk you through frequently asked questions, such as clothing choices, to help make our session as productive as possible. During our session, you’ll see that I’m extraordinarily laid back and will make you (and your children, if they’re with us as well) feel completely at ease. You’ll also see that I don’t rely upon gimmickry like dressing babies up like carrots or hauling entire living rooms into a nature preserve. I shoot pretty much prop-free (though if you bring your own, I’ll make it work). I want the photos, and the people in my photos, to speak for themselves.

After our session, I’ll set you up with a password-protected gallery so that you can review the 75+ images I generally edit for my clients. We’ll conduct all of our post-session business by phone or by email; I’m not going to waste my time or yours by forcing you to come to my office to review the photos in person while I give you the hard sell.

SILENT AUCTION PACKAGE RESTRICTIONS

Session must be scheduled and completed by October 30, 2014. Please note that this is a firm expiration date which will not be extended.

Weekdays only. Photographer’s weekend begins at 5 pm on Fridays, so sessions must be scheduled to begin no later than 4 pm if you wish to redeem on a Friday.

Two to 100 family members OK! May be used for a session in which only one person is photographed if that person is 5 years old or younger.

Outdoor sessions only. (Kevin James McCrea Photography does not have or use a studio for indoor sessions.) May not be redeemed for a session at a location which requires obtaining a permit ahead of time. Scheduling restrictions may exist for sessions held at the auction winner’s home (as opposed to meeting at one of the many public parks at which the photographer typically holds his sessions).

May not be redeemed for at-home indoor newborn photos, engagement photos, senior portraits, bridal portraits, pet photography (when no people are included), headshots, event photography (birthday parties, wedding receptions, holiday parties, etc.), commercial photography (including Realtor photos), or any other type of non-family photo session.

Only one auction-winning certificate/photo package per family or household can be redeemed with Kevin James McCrea Photography in any 24-month period.

Blackout dates for redeeming this certificate might exist in the days before and after major holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.
