Youth Choral Theater Artistic Director Paul Caldwell returns to his South Carolina roots in a serious way, preparing a traditional Southern barbeque feast for eight in your home.   The night before your dinner, he’ll fill his Weber Smokey Mountain with hickory chips and a big pork butt.  The meat falls apart 12 hours later, ready to be slathered with a mustard-based barbeque sauce known only to cooks from the rural South.  Before the dinner is served, you and your friends get a hands-on lesson in making the sauce. 

Oh, and desert? Sweet potato pie. His aunt’s recipe, baked in a fresh leaf lard crust.

In addition to the cooking expertise, all the ingredients, wine, drinks, service and cleanup are provided. 

Forget fitness.  It's time to fatten up!
