Item Description

Bid on two tickets to Robert Wilson's "Old Woman" with Willem Dafoe and Mikhail Baryshnikov.

BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) is a multi-arts center located in Brooklyn, New York.  For more than 150 years, BAM has been the home for adventurous artists, audiences, and ideas—engaging both global and local communities. With world-renowned programming in theater, dance, music, opera, film, and much more, BAM showcases the work of emerging artists and innovative modern masters.

Oscar-nominated actor and founding member of The Wooster Group Willem Dafoe and legendary performer Mikhail Baryshnikov are a dapper odd couple, forced to deal with the most inconsiderate—and inanimate—of houseguests, in this surreal marriage of absurdism, pitch-black comedy, and vaudeville from director Robert Wilson.

Based on the recently rediscovered writings of Russian avant-garde author Daniil Kharms—a master of Beckettian and Kafkaesque nonsensical drama—and adapted by Darryl Pinckney, Wilson’s meticulously designed production riffs ingeniously on Kharms’ warped, disorienting world. Exquisitely lit sets flicker between flatness and depth, repeated gestures and phrases become deliriously strange, and Baryshnikov and Dafoe dazzle as two sides of the same corkscrewed mind, tending darkly to their unknown visitor.

A $50 gift certificate at No.7 is also included in this package.

From NYMag "Steps from the Lafayette subway exit, this American bistro has the feel of an old train station lounge. The marble-topped bar up front sits beneath a vaulted ceiling lit with Edison bulbs. In back, a tight semicircle of banquettes surrounds seating for 40. In between, Perry St. alum chef Tyler Kord turns out a short list of ambitious dishes from a tiny kitchen open to the peering eyes of the chic neighborhood crowd."

Item Special Note

BAM: Tickets must be reserved in advance and seating is based on availability.
