Item Description
The First Grade Room 4 students selected to emulate Lindy Gaskills A Fantastic Journey for their collaborative canvas. Students began with the background, blending bright colors in different sections of the canvas, and then created texture by using water bottles and textured rags to blot the paint. The tress and animals were added next, followed by additional texture created by stamping on the canvas with wax paper that was covered in black acrylic paint. Lastly, students created the black swirls by dipping string in black paint, creating a swirl formation with the string on the canvas, and pressing it gently with a rag.
