Item Description
Annie Leibovitz: A Photographer's Life, 1990-2005 (Hardcover)
Annie Leibovitz has shot some of the most memorable and iconic images of the last few decades, including photographs of George W. Bush with his cabinet, Johnny Cash on the porch with June Carter, a shirtless vampiric Mick Jagger, a moist, bejeweled, and voluptuous Scarlett Johannsen, and bloody footprints in a Tutsi massacre. In A PHOTOGRAPHER'S LIFE, Leibovitz exhibits celebrity photoshoots and images of atrocity alongside photographs of her family and friends, a testament to how photography extends to every corner of her life, both personal, professional, and political. (from the first line) A visual narrative of the past fifteen years brings together more than three hundred photographs, including both personal images and professional work, that document her relationship with her late companion Susan Sontag, the birth of her daughters, the death of her father, and the world of such public figures as Demi Moore, Nelson Mandela, Bill Clinton, and others.
