Item Description

Where do naturalists send the collections from their expeditions? Where can you see thousands of mammals from all over the world in in one room? Just how tough IS a giraffe hide? How can something collected for a museum further species conservation? Is an elephant skull larger than a SmartCar?

Marvel at mammalian diversity and see first-hand specimens collected by President Teddy Roosevelt on this one-of-a-kind tour. Tour is limited at 10 people, but fewer people make for a more intimate experience. Tour location is at the Smithsonian's Museum Support Center at Suitland, Maryland.

Item Special Note

Tour time and day during regular business hours and to be set for a mutually agreeable time for both host and tour winner. Expires May 1, 2015.
