Origin of Curry: The word Curry originated from the Tamil word (a South Indian language) Kari, meaning a sauce or gravy. Curry does not refer to a single dish but encompasses any gravy made with one or more of the spices, herbs, nuts, fruits etc., Curry is more than spices it is a labor of love !

History: The demand for the aromatic spices of the exotic east has changed the history of the world. Faraway lands were rediscovered by the adventurous explorers. Many a great conquests were the result of the craving for the spices. Great empires waged wars against each other apart from battling the Indian kingdoms to control the spice trade.

Acknowledgement: We acknowledge with many thanks all the great empires, explorers, mercenaries and the traders for propagating the popularity of spices and the great curries of India. Special thanks to the British, Irish, Scottish & all of the Empire who ruled India for over 400 years for making Curry their national dish but also creating a great concoction, popularly called CTM or Chicken Tikka Masala! In honor of the curry loving Empire and all the curry connoisseurs, we have recreated this unique preparation in our kitchen, a salaam to CTM.
