Item Description
Jenny Vermaak of Walk Against Captivity made this wonderful donation to the auction on behalf of her group and South Africa.
The Orca is handmade traditional African beaded artwork. Africans make a huge variety of beaded items, mostly decorative.
This wallhanging was made by 'Ronnie' from Zimbabwe. There are 1000s of people in the South African market with there wares, displaying intricate and beautiful artwork.
These items take hours to make, but it does mean they are all unique.
Ronnie was fascinated and horrified when I explained about Orcas & captivity. He was very proud that his work is going to America for a good cause.
