Item Description

GROUNDERS by Chip Culpepper and Mark Hinson from Mangan Holcomb Partners in Little Rock. This home plate has dirt collected from 16 of the 30 MLB teams sitting on a retired rake from Lamar Porter Field. The notebook includes photos, correspondence and documentation for each bottle of dirt. The bag contains bottles for the other 14, and each is labeled with the logo and a place for a signature. There's also a piece of paper inside with the contact at the field.

GROUNDERS is a tribute to the MLB grounds crewmembers, and a tribute to the incredible creative energy of Chip and Mark. I truly don't know how to thank them enough.

For a devoted baseball fan, this is the perfect road trip adventure kit-- your mission is to complete the piece by visiting all the parks. What a treasure! I will post more details later.

Item Special Note

Chip and Mark sent letters to all 30 MLB teams asking for someone on the grounds crew to fill a bottle with dirt from the field.  Sixteen teams responded with varying degrees of feeback, photos, documentation and holograms.  Chip and Mark put an amazing amount of thought and energy into this very very special project.
