Item Description
Stamped with the artist’s signature, this mid-century glass tile mosaic and hanging brass tray is a great example of Mexican Modernist artist Salvador Teran’s unique style and creativity.
Salvador Teran (1920-1974)
Considered a brilliant silversmith and metal master as well as an amazing mosaic artist, Salvador Teran studied under William Spratling leaving to start his own shop, La India Bonita, in 1952. While many collectors seek out the jewelry and tile work that show his characteristic fascination with overlapping planes and modernistic designs, all of Teran’s work is highly collectible and are held in collections all over the world.
