Seven Day Photography Tour in Venice Italy for One
Jim Zuckerman has been a contributing editor to Photographic Magazine for four decades. His fine art prints hang in dozens of private collections. Jim’s images, articles and photo features have been published in scores of books and magazines, including National Geographic and Conde Nast Traveler. He is also the author of over twenty books on photography.
The photography tour in Venice, February 7 through 13, 2015, will be during Venice’s legendary Carnival. Scores of people compete with each other for the most outrageous and creative costumes imaginable.
In addition to the many costumed people to photograph in San Marco Square, Burano Island, St. George Island, the famous Rialto Bridge and St. Mark’s Cathedral, you’ll also have several sessions with models in full costume under your direction. You’ll shoot costumed models in locations that provide stunning backgrounds, including twilight photography of set against the most famous architecture in Europe.
The entire hotel is reserved for your group and photo lectures and critiques will be held there. Among the many topics Jim will cover in the informal lectures are how to photograph people, composition techniques, professionally replacing backgrounds in Photoshop, creatively using extreme wide angle lenses and much more.
The workshop is open to people of all skill levels and experience. The workshop involves extensive walking. If you have trouble walking or negotiating steps, this trip is not recommended. Expect the weather to be quite cold.
Four months before departure you will receive a color booklet with information about the tour including recommended photo gear, weather, electricity, participants and contact information for the hotel.
Included are: Accommodations (single room), breakfasts, welcome and farewell dinners, transportation from the airport to the hotel, week long boat pass, photo instruction and critiques of your work.
Airfare, alcoholic beverages, tips are not included.
