Pride & Prejudice & Zombies Dance and classes

This package consists of free entry to the Pride & Prejudice & Zombies Dance on November 1, for 2 persons, as well as 4 free English Country and/or Scottish Country dance classes (for each person) leading up to the dance.  The dance is a combination of Regency and Zombies (e.g., Halloween) genres, and features recorded music for English and Scottish Country dancing.  Creative costumes (Regency attire plus the Zombie look; or Zombie costume with Regency look??) are encouraged and not required.  The evening promises to be full of hilarity and fun - with tasty ghoulish snacks. The dance will be held at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St., Las Vegas, from 6:30 to 10 pm, and is co-sponsored by the Southern Nevada Old-Time Contra Dancers, a nonprofit volunteer organization, and the City of Las Vegas. 

Because the dances at the Pride & Prejudice & Zombies (PP&Z) Dance are pre-choreogaphed, the package includes free admittance to four dance classes for each person, either for English Country Dancing, or Scottish Country Dancing, or a combination of the two. There will also be a review class on the afternoon of the November 1 dance, which can be counted as one of the 4 free classes.  Potential dance participants are encouraged to attend as many practices as possible before the event because familiarity with the choreography will enhance participants’ enjoyment of the November 1 event.  Attendance of additional classes beyond the scope of this package will be at cost. Future English and Scottish Country dance classes are listed at http://www.meetup.com/LVCountryDance/ .  At the November 1 dance, the moves for each dance will be briefly walked through before the music begins, and will also be called while the music is playing. 

  Successful bidders are requested to contact lvcontra@gmail.com prior to attending either a dance class or the PP&Z dance so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Participant must be over 10 yrs of age.
