Item Description

An easy flute to play with wonderful sounds to explore. Head out into special nature spots or favorite spots in your neighborhood to explore the full range of sounds and natural reverberation with this Zen Buddhist Meditation Flute.

The flute is made from cured Chinese stone bamboo with a custom mixed stain finish. Color embellishments come about as a result of the eco-flow water based stain. Bindings are made from brown hemp and the flute has a fire treated finish. All holes are made using burning rods. The inside of the flute is detailed in either red or blue and the bore is burnt and detailed with fire.

Thomas Richardson of Bamboo Flutes says of his flutes that they "are built in the ancient tradition of the master flute builders from China, Japan and India."

Details: Pentatonic scale. Tuned in concert pitch. Straight up and down the scale fingering sounds meditative and very Asian.

Hand carved and painted Kanji script for Zen. Each carving is slightly different. Bidder may choose symbol.

Choices for stain are red mahogany or dark ebony.
