Item Description
Would you or someone you love benefit from channeling energies in good directions, strengthening self-esteem, improving overall health, and experiencing deep relaxation? Then this workshop is for you!
Based on the works of Shakti Gawain, creative visualization uses mental imagery and affirmations to produce positive changes in one's life.
API Board member, psychotherapist, and author Dr. Karen Walant will host a private creative visualization workshop that explains the process of creative visualization, making a vision board, and using an Mp3 tape for you to follow through with (in terms of activating your visualization).
This workshop can also be done for a group if local to Connecticut.
About Dr. Walant:
Dr. Walant is an expert on attachment and intimacy. She wrote one of the first books for psychotherapists that integrated attachment theory into the treatment process, entitled Creating the Capacity for Attachment. She believes that the principles of Attachment Parenting are our society's best hope at shifting from cultural norms that are no longer in our children's best interests.
Dr. Walant is a lecturer in the areas of attachment research and neuroscience, empathy, and parenting, and is a popular speaker in both her local community and at major conferences, such as Harvard University's Addictions Seminar. She has been in private practice for over 20 years and lives with her husband, her children (when home from college), and her labradoodle in Ridgefield, CT. She is a board-certified psychotherapist and an Advisory Board member of Attachment Parenting International.
