Item Description

The Mooring Bed and Breakfast

This picturesque Midcoast Maine Bed and Breakfast located on Georgetown Island was the original home of Walter Reid, the donor of Reid State Park in Georgetown, and later his daughter Louise R. Butler. It is now owned by Mr. Reid’s great granddaughter Penny, and her family.

This B&B features five unique rooms, all with private baths, air conditioning, and great ocean views. Beautiful gardens and elegant old plantings adorn the grounds. A roomy casual porch catches the warm summer breezes.

After a hearty Maine breakfast, spend the day at the beach, and come back to the Mooring. Sit on the deck and watch the sunset or read and relax in the Spanish room before turning in for a good nights sleep listening to the waves crashing on the rocks.
