Item Description
Steven Kuc is the Owner/Lead Artist for Soldier Ink Design. Born in Philadelphia, Steven started practicing art at a very young age. Over many years of honing his skills, Steven now uses a wide array of mediums, including watercolor, acrylic, chalk, marker and digital. Most notably, you can see his work displayed in restaurants and at public events such as Denver Comic Con. His company offers custom canvas work for home and office decor and large-scale mural work.
As a curator for a highly respected restaurant named Racines, the goal for this mask was to incorporate everything food to make up the details. Using egg whites for eyes and olives for pupils to peppers as eyebrows, cucumbers for the forehead, lettuce and cabbage for the hair, snap peas surrounding the eyes and a potato nose and chin, peppers for ears, peas and kidney beans above the chin, carrots and celery surrounding the face and bright red tomatoes for cheek bones. The goal has been accomplished and the project a success. Bon Appetit!
