“I am an artist that loves the Sea! I have a background that includes Photography, Sculpture and Ceramics. In the past I have constructed materials to create sculptural photographs. With mosaic as my medium, I am constructing images from my time spent in the sea. I try to bring what I have seen underwater and at the surface of the sea to my mosaics and also adding interest I include photos I have taken underwater. The glass and the glue have a magnifying effect similar to the way water magnifies sea life when viewed through my mask.

The sea is always changing and the beauty of the light changes how sea life and corals are perceived underwater. Just as light will illuminate or reflect under the sea, the surfaces of my mosaic will also change with lighting and angles viewed. Finding a special coral or fish in the sea is the treasure I seek when scuba diving or snorkeling, viewing my mosaics will hopefully reveal something unique to the viewer.”
