In her 30-plus years as an artist, Randina Casenza has created art with many materials: fabric, paint, paper mache, clay, beads and more. In 2005 she began working in mosaics and found a home in broken tile, china and glass. She quickly became absorbed in the medium: loving the meditative quality of working with the tesserae and tools, and the way this art form keeps her focused in the present moment. She currently shares a studio with seven mosaic artists in Oakland, California. Her special area of interest is in portraiture (human and animal) and creating altars and small shrines.

Randi is largely self-taught, but has studied extensively at the Institute of Mosaic Art in Berkeley, CA, where she now teaches.

Randina is a member of the following mosaic organizations:

Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA)

Contemporary Mosaic Art (CMA)
