“I was born in Philadelphia and have always lived and studied in or close to the big city. The colors and magic of the busyness of the city influence my work with shouts of unexpected color. I am an artist. It’s not something I ever choose, but who I am and have always been. Early on, my medium embraced oil paint on canvas and wheel thrown pottery. Now my medium is high quality stained glass where I hand-nip each piece with one tool, shaping and forming each fragment of glass individually to develop a realistic 2D work.

As a artist, I feel as if my background as a painter and potter has married and found ways for the paintbrush and clay to communicate distinctive textures in glass. I use stained glass in place of my familiar, textural brush strokes and my hand formed vessels to create works to hang on a wall, framed and appreciated.”
