The food is paramount to any mention of Jedediah Hawkins with many distinct spaces to enjoy it, as the weather permits: breakfast in the solarium, brunch al fresco, and dinner by the fireplace. The restaurant pays tribute to the North Fork’s agricultural bounty and acclaimed wines and micro brews. Our wine list is a balance of local wines and a selection from the rest of the world. Herbs and produce from our kitchen garden, eggs from our chickens and the freshest local sea food contribute to delicious and unpretentious farm to table fare. We pride ourselves on offering a great dining experience in an elegant but relaxed setting. Thousands of diners consistently place us at the top of Open Table’s Diners’ Choice Lists for food, romance, special occasion and ambiance.
Surrounded by 22 acres of fragrant gardens and farmland, Jedediah Hawkins Inn is a luxurious North Fork boutique hotel, celebrated for its history, genuine hospitality, good food and good wine. Here you will want to stroll the gardens, enjoy a glass of wine in the gazebo or enjoy the surrounding vineyards, farms and beaches of the North Fork.
Captain Jedediah Hawkins built his home in 1863 in the popular Italianate style, complete with ornate architectural features and a belvedere. It was one of the finest residences on the North Fork. After having fallen into disrepair and becoming “haunted”, the house was saved from the wrecker’s ball and meticulously restored. The Inn, a cozy blend of traditional and contemporary design, reopened with a Decorator Show House. The New York State Historic Preservation Award confirms JHI’s investment in the community’s heritage and rejuvenation.
