Item Description
Whether living in Nova Scotia or planning a visit, this $25 Gift Card to dine or drink at a Halifax institution will offer a welcome pause along the way.
Says MSN Travel, "With the highest number of bars per capita in Canada, there’s still one Halifax establishment that stands out: Durty Nelly’s. Reputed to be Eastern Canada’s most genuine Irish pub, the entire bar was built in Ireland before being shipped across the Atlantic and plopped into Halifax’s entertainment district. Raising the bar on pub grub, David Adjey of Restaurant Makeover fame, developed the menu of comforting classics with a focus on local fare. Besides the jovial air, you’ll find live music and a build your own Caesar bar (the drink, not the salad)."
Durty Nelly’s was completely designed and built in Ireland. The owners of Durty Nelly’s discovered the main problem with 99.9% of Irish pubs in Canada was that they were not truly Irish. Many have tried to recreate the Irish experience with little success. At Durty Nelly’s they believe that to be truly Irish you have to be from Ireland. With the help of the Irish Pub Company, the life of Durty Nelly’s began right from her Irish roots. Designed and built in Dublin, this authentic Irish pub began its journey across the Atlantic in December of 2008 to be reconstructed piece by piece in the heart of Nova Scotia.
What makes Durty Nelly’s truly authentic is our attention to all the details that make a true Irish experience. From the art of pouring the perfect pint to designing a menu that brings traditional Irish favourites to the Maritimes, Durty Nelly’s provides its customers with the original “Craic’ of Ireland.
