About the artist:
Brent Elliott saved his allowance for weeks to buy his first camera while living in Germany in the 4th grade. He entered the world of 35mm photography during the late 70's upon entering college and immediately joined the college newspaper and yearbook as a staff photographer to refine his skills, He quickly learned that the best way to capture a truly great image is to always keep your camera within reach.
Photography has been a dominant hobby ever since, He continues to carry a full backpack and tripod on every adventure so the "right" lenses are as always as ready as the camera. Brent identified with a similarly passionate photographer during a conversation in Yosemite in late December 2013, where the new acquaitance stated, "It was very stressful, but yesterday I went on a hike with my only camera being a mobile phone. The long hike was nice without a heavy pack, but not something I would do again."
