Item Special Note

Joyce Herbert is originally from Rochester and after many years on Keuka Lake, made it her permanent home in 2000. Having retired from work in the Rochester arts community and Keuka College she then revived a long-time interest in making jewelry. Joyce became a volunteer at the Arts Center of Yates County and credits a workshop by fellow artist Janis Long with expanding the scope of her work. She now includes hand shaped and forged metal components in her jewelry. “I find joy in immersing myself in the many textures, shapes and vibrant colors resulting from the metals, beads and found objects in my designs.” Joyce also creates colorful tiny silk purses made from men's ties.

Joyce may be reached at 315-536-8618 or 615keuka@gmail.com for special requests.
